albacor-comuna-fig
Albacor Comuna Fig

Albacor Comuna figs can be identified by their long, oval shape and large size. The large figs are covered in dark black skin that will crackle when ripe. Growers note the importance of leaving these figs on the tree until fully ripe. With good attachment to the tree, it’s worth it to leave Albacor Comuna figs to hang until they are slightly shriveled to get the most flavor. This variety tends to begin ripening in mid August, depending on growing conditions.

When ripe, Albacor Comuna figs have a complex, dark berry flavor. This is a Black Mission variety that is very sweet and juicy. The figs have a thicker skin that will exhibit marked crackling when ripe. Albacor Comuna figs contain red pulp, and the common variety does not require wasp pollination. These trees are known to be highly productive, bearing large figs and 3- and 5-lobed leaves.

Terms and Conditions:

***Please be sure to read our Terms and Conditions before purchasing cuttings***

When do we ship cuttings?

Non-Rooted Cuttings(November/December):

We begin to ship cuttings once the trees are dormant and in a shippable state.
