The variety is hardy, and is able to be planted directly in the ground in some grow zones. Constans has a vibrant pulp with colors of red, orange, and peach. The appetizing pulp has a good seed crunch, and a sweet berry flavor. The trees produce a breba and a main crop and have mostly 5-lobed leaves with uniform margins. Growers have compared Constans to the popular fig variety-Celeste because of its leaves, taste, and void in the middle of the fig. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e**All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October\/November) will ship out first in November\/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refrigerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine.
