The trees produce large figs, and mainly 3-lobed leaves with some 5- and single-lobed leaves. Although the fruits are large, the leaves are smaller in size. Figs will ripen mid-season, depending on climate.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBite into a Genovese Nero AF fig and you will be met with a moderately sweet berry flavor. However, the longer the fig is left to ripen on the tree, the sweeter and more syrupy it will become. They are chewy, with a thicker skin and no seed crunch. Honey often pools around the eye of this fig. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e**All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October\/November) will ship out first in November\/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refrigerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine.
