To decode that name a bit, “Graz” comes from the city in Austria that this fig originally called home. “Der Grossen Feige,” translates from German as “the big fig,” which references this fig’s long shape and heavy weight. “BC#102” is the numbering system used at the famous Belleclare Nursery in Long Island, NY where this fig was sold in the US. The now-closed nursery assigned numbers to each of its world-class figs to more accurately keep track of the varieties. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e**All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October\/November) will ship out first in November\/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refrigerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine.
