Inside is a sweet and juicy pulp. The red pulp is rich, jammy, and has berry\/cherry flavors. The shapely figs and extra large leaves (think dinner plate size) make this plant an attractive addition to yards. The figs themselves can weigh over 100 grams, categorizing them in the large size figs. While the figs have an open eye that may crack, they seem to have good resistance to spoiling. Depending on growing conditions, gardeners can find Violette de Sollies ripening around mid September. Violette de Sollies gets its name from its native home in southern France. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October\/November) will ship out first in November\/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refrigerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine.
